Natural Habitat Adventures (Nat Hab), a nature-focused global adventure travel company based in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking a dynamic Trade Relations Manager to drive strategic partnerships and elevate our presence in the global travel industry. This pivotal role will strengthen Nat Hab’s relationships with key travel consultants, industry partners, and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with our mission to connect people with nature and inspire conservation through exploration.

 

As a core member of our sales team, you will help to oversee industry relations, business development, and market positioning, playing a crucial role in expanding our reach. RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and strengthen long-term partnerships with travel advisors, industry leaders, and key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and structure high-impact collaborations that align with Nat Hab’s growth objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between internal teams (marketing, sales, operations) and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and execution.

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new strategic opportunities that drive revenue and brand visibility.
  • Develop innovative partnership strategies that enhance business growth and market influence.
  • Evaluate and recommend alliances that align with Nat Hab’s long-term vision and sustainability goals.

Industry Insights & Competitive Intelligence

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging destinations, evolving consumer behaviors, and technological advancements.
  • Analyze market dynamics and competitor activity to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders to maintain industry leadership.

Brand Representation & Industry Engagement

  • Act as a key ambassador for Nat Hab at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Lead industry-related communications and facilitate engagement opportunities with key partners.
  • Strengthen Nat Hab’s reputation as a leader in sustainable adventure travel through thought leadership and networking.

Collaborative Marketing & Promotional Strategy

  • Partner with the marketing team to develop compelling co-branded campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Oversee partner-driven marketing efforts, including digital collaborations, content partnerships, and social media activations.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and brand positioning across all industry partnerships.

Performance Tracking & Strategic Reporting

  • Monitor and measure the success of industry partnerships and business development initiatives.
  • Provide data-driven reports to leadership, assessing impact and identifying areas for growth.
  • Continuously refine strategies to optimize outcomes and maximize partner engagement.

Ethical Compliance & Mission Alignment

  • Ensure all partnerships adhere to industry regulations, ethical business standards, and Nat Hab’s commitment to responsible travel.
  • Champion sustainable tourism practices and reinforce Nat Hab’s mission in every industry interaction.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Seasoned professional with a strong understanding of the travel and hospitality industry.
  • Natural relationship-builder with outstanding negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with experience in business development, partnership management, and brand positioning.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Data-driven decision-maker with analytical skills to assess market conditions and partnership performance.
  • Passionate about conservation-focused travel and committed to driving impact through industry leadership.

 

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 base pay, plus commission. Compensation commensurate with experience. (Per Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, employers must include compensation ranges in job postings). This is a full-time, exempt position.

The Louisville, Colorado office near Boulder is surrounded by paved paths and natural trails with panoramic views of the foothills and Rocky Mountains. The office campus features an on-site fitness facility and café serving daily breakfast and lunch, including a full-service espresso bar with locally roasted coffee.

WORKING HOURS

Working and being fully available 8 am–5 pm MT Monday–Friday.

Additional hours may be necessary to achieve your goals and complete your work.

 

LOCATION AND TRAVEL

This position offers the option of working remotely or in the Louisville, Colorado office.

  • For Local Candidates (within a one-hour drive of our Louisville, CO office): Attendance in the office is required at least two days per week.
  • For Remote Candidates: You will need to travel to Colorado at least twice a year for in-person meetings, company events, and job-specific tasks.
  • Additional travel is required for this role, including attendance at travel consultant conferences, presentations in person to consultants of various agencies in a region, and client nights that consultants (or agencies) stage. Travel is a big part of this position, and one must anticipate multiple trips a month, largely domestic, but likely will include a few annual trips internationally.
