PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Program: Camp K is an ACA Accredited Summer Residential Youth Co-ed Camp.
Location: Camp K is located in Copper Landing, AK on Kenai Lake.
Dates: All Staff training begins mid-May. Camp opens to youth in early June and runs through early August.
Sessions: Camp K offers 5 day sessions throughout the summer.
Staff Shifts: Camp K staff reside on camp premises during all camp sessions. There is personal time between sessions to enjoy the beautiful Alaska Summer.
Activities: While at Camp K youth are provided hiking, boating activities, outdoor games, art building, target sports, outdoor living skills and team building.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Work Schedule: June 14, 2025 - August 16, 2025, 40 hours per week, salaried.
Work Location: Camp K in Cooper Landing (room & board provided.)
Reports to: Camp K Program Director
Supervises: Camp Staff
FLSA: Seasonal, Exempt
Pay: $1,128/week
Position Description:
The Camp K Assistant Director or Partnerships and Rentals plays a key role in the leadership and supervision of Camp K’s Sleepaway Summer Program, as well as managing all Partner and Rental Group Programs. Responsibilities include overseeing program planning and execution, managing rental and partner group communications, training and scheduling staff, organizing schedules for participants, and ensuring effective group management. As a live-in position during the summer season, this role supports Camp Fire’s Promise to provide youth with the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice and discover who they are.
