Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and adapt snowmaking operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.

  • Manage snowmaking supervisors, supporting their teams and conducting training.

  • Communicate operational status and assist in planning with stakeholders.

  • Operate and maintain snowmaking equipment, monitoring weather conditions.

  • Ensure cleanliness and functionality of facilities and equipment management.

  • Conduct weekly meetings to resolve issues and enhance communication.

  • Advocate for personnel, addressing safety and morale concerns.

  • Process documentation and prepare snowmaking budgets.

  • Hire, train, and evaluate staff, including Compressor House Operators.

  • Collaborate on equipment testing and maintenance projects.

  • Develop training materials and implement efficiency protocols.

Driving:

  • Have a valid Driver’s license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program

    Preferred Experience:

    • Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with guests, colleagues, and management, aligning with Snowshoe's service excellence standards.

    • Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges effectively.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of ski area operations to enhance overall efficiency.

    • Proficient in safely operating snowmobiles, heavy equipment, and company vehicles.

    • Skilled in cross-departmental collaboration to guide and influence various teams.

    • Snowmobile certification (can be obtained post-hire).

    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    3-5 years of experience in managing personnel in a fast paced, task-oriented atmosphere. Snowmaking management greatly preferred. One or more years of experience in mechanical equipment maintenance and repair where trouble shooting is a primary aspect of the job.

    Education:

    • High School or equivalent
