Base Pay Rate: $17-23.50/hr. Additional incentive rates based on experience, private requested hours, etc.

Job Description
Ski and Snowboard instructors are dedicated to providing exceptional service to our guests. The Instructor will provide quality ski or snowboard instruction to guests in a safe and fun learning environment while upholding company guidelines and all Wyoming Skier Safety Act rules/regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to competently ski or snowboard all Green, Blue, and (single) Black terrain at Snow King Mountain; exceptions made on a case-by-case basis
Ability to physically, clearly, and accurately both communicate & demonstrate instruction to guests within [instructor’s] assigned levels of Alpine Skiing/Snowboarding
Ability to discuss the lesson content and evaluate the progress of the lesson with the guest
Ensuring that guests are matched to appropriate [instructor] skier/snowboarding skill levels and work with supervisors/managers to make appropriate changes when necessary
Upholding the highest levels of guest safety on varied terrain in varying winter weather conditions
Coaching guests to load and unload the chairlift and physically assist children with the process
Having high levels of guest service skills and customer experience
Possessing high levels of creativity
Willingness to teach a family lesson despite varying ages; willingness to teach ages 4+ and/or instructor both disciplines
Understanding and abiding by the rules and procedures set forth in the Mountain Sports School Operations Manual
Attending and being responsible for morning & afternoon lineup when scheduled
Assisting guests with transportation of ski/snowboard equipment
Supervising children in class at all times; assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring the return of children to an identified guardian
Assisting in the operational responsibilities of the Mountain Sports School programs including, but not limited to, the registration process, directing guests to the appropriate equipment fitting source, aiding boot/equipment fitting, sales, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, cleanliness of facilities, and other tasks as assigned by MSS leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
18 years of age or older
High School or equivalent education
Successful completion of a background check
Attend and successfully complete the Mountain Sports School mandatory training session(s)
Must be available to work holidays and weekends
Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written)
Must have excellent guest service and communication skills
Must work well in a team
Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment
Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions
Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and browser applications
