To strengthen our e-Bike SW development team in Cham, Switzerland, we are seeking for a Control Engineer to commence immediately or by agreement. In this role you will be at the forefront of developing solutions for state-of-the-art e-Bike Motors. Internally, you will be in close collaboration with System, Quality, Test engineers, and Product Managers. Externally, you will be working with various vendors.

How you’ll make a difference

· Design, develop and optimize high-level e-bike controllers. Debug them using tools based on CAN protocols.

· Own the automatic shifting component. Develop an automatic shifting solution that will be the new benchmark in the industry.

· Develop derating strategies to stay within limitations of a given component.

· Formulate and prototype new concepts.

· Work with other teams (System engineering, Turbo digital engineering) to achieve the best possible rider experience.

· Help improve our ways of working.

· Go out, ride and bring it beyond the expectations.

What you need to win

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as: mechatronics engineer, software engineer, control engineer or similar.

· Minimum 3 years of relevant, post-graduate, full-time experience.

· Proficiency in: C/C++, Python and Mathworks products.

· Experience with controller or application development in an industrial setting.

· Experience working with CAN bus analyzers and protocols.

· Experience with version control (git).

· Ability to multitask effectively among different projects in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent communication skills as you will collaborate with and coordinate between hardware and quality engineers, software developers, program managers, and suppliers across the globe.

· Excellent English skills (written and spoken), German is a plus.

Nice to have

· Knowledge of machine learning (neural networks, deep learning etc.)

· Knowledge of new programming languages such as: Zig and Rust.

· Experience working with debuggers (code profiling etc.).

· Interest in state-of-the-art control theory, system identification or signal-processing.
