Retail Store Design Specialist
As the Retail Store Design Specialist, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the global retail team and the market-level execution of store design. Your primary focus will be on supporting large-scale store projects and creating innovative formats for product category zones (such as Mountain, Road, and equipment), while ensuring that the overall store layouts and customer journey are optimized. Working closely with the regional and global retail team, you will help bring the brand to life in stores through strategic design solutions that enhance the in-store experience.
This role is perfect for a creative and detail-oriented professional who is passionate about designing functional and visually compelling retail spaces that elevate the brand experience. You will be part of the EMEA Marketing team and collaborate with the global retail team, market-level retail specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure that all store design elements align with global brand guidelines while meeting the unique needs of local markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Project Support
- Lead the design and execution of large store projects, working with market-level retail teams to ensure alignment with global guidelines and local requirements.
- Manage store layouts and store design concepts for major projects, ensuring consistency in visual identity and customer flow.
Format Creation
- Create and refine store formats for specific product categories (Mountain, Road, E-Bikes, equipment), designing immersive product zones that are visually compelling and strategically laid out.
- Develop solutions for key landing zones and product showcases that captivate customers and enhance the brand’s in-store presence.
Customer Journey Optimization
- Collaborate with the Retail Marketing Specialist to ensure that store layouts and product displays optimize the customer journey and drive engagement.
- Work closely with global and local teams to adapt store layouts to regional needs while maintaining consistency in the brand experience.
Design & Asset Integration
- Ensure the seamless integration of visual assets, merchandising displays, and design elements within stores, aligning with brand guidelines and in-store customer journeys.
- Collaborate with the design team and Retail Marketing Specialist to ensure that retail assets and displays support effective storytelling and product visibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between the global retail design team and market-level specialists, ensuring alignment on design strategies and the successful execution of retail projects.
- Provide feedback on design improvements based on regional market insights and customer behavior.
What You’ll Need to Win:
- 3+ years of experience in retail design, architecture, or visual merchandising.
- Strong expertise in store layout design, customer flow, and retail space optimization.
- Excellent project management skills with experience leading large-scale retail projects.
- A keen eye for design and the ability to translate global brand guidelines into functional and engaging retail environments.
- Experience with architectural/design planning software, using CAD tools, and creating renderings.
- Fluency in English; additional European language(s) is a plus.
