Job Description

Summary
The Retail Sales Associate provides product knowledge to the guests allowing them to make a series of buying decisions which are mutually beneficial to them and The Little Nell Boutique. Selling responsibilities include keeping merchandise displayed and stocked neatly while maintaining a clean work environment and Forbes 5-star service standards. This position reports to the Retail Manager.

Essential Job Functions
• Controlling and helping in loss and theft prevention
• Maintaining a clean work environment through folding merchandise on the retail floor and stockrooms
• Cleaning dressing rooms of hangers, tags, and properly putting away merchandise after each use of the dressing room
• Help with opening and closing cleaning duties
• Organize merchandise and accept delivery of product
• Enthusiasm and knowledge of the Aspen skiing and snowboarding lifestyle
• Assisting hotel guests with questions related to the hotel property and providing local Aspen knowledge and recommendations as needed
• Adhering to Forbes 5 star standards
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Proficient in Point of Sales systems
• Knowledge of selling merchandise
• Knowledge of retail products
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work collaboratively & effectively with team members
• Ability to adapt to the customer flow of a retail store
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills

Additional Information

Work Environment and Physical Demands
• Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required
• Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
