Job Summary: To provide leadership and overall management support for year round activities departments including the Tube Park, Bungee Trampoline, Hiking Trails and Skating Rink, while maintaining a clean enjoyable atmosphere at all times and ensuring guest compliance with safety regulations.

Applicants must be 18 years of age.

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $20.54 - $26.71 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

  • Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Assist manager in supervising a team of 20-35 employees.
  • Assist in supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Comply with Federal and California Labor law in all phases of the payroll and employment process; from hiring through termination, as well as all Company policies & procedures.
  • Enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all employees display accurate cash handling skills, perform daily sales and close procedures, and achieve accurate daily deposits according to company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Assist in the resolution of all guest complaints; ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with job performance evaluations by observing daily and overall job performance
  • Perform daily open/close procedures according to company policy and procedures and ensure the completion of day to day operational tasks.
  • Responsible for training and monitoring activities of recreation attendants
  • Inspect and operate equipment in compliance with the Palisades Tahoe safety policies and procedure to avoid unnecessary collisions or unsafe practices
  • Understand and develop an in depth knowledge of the products sold. These product categories include but are not limited to; Season Passes, Daily tickets, Adult and Children Ski School, and Resort Activities.
  • Perform all duties of recreation attendant

Competencies and Job Requirements:

  • Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact with others
  • Working knowledge of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Willingness to learn RTP POS system

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 80% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50lbs. Must capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee will frequently be exposed to extreme cold, wetness and/or humidity, and occasionally blizzards and extreme storm conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate.

Equipment Used in Job: Snow tubes, POS, fencing, shovels, rakes, drills

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One year supervisory experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree
