Position Title: MSS Instructor

Classification: Seasonal FT/PT

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Functions of Role: 

Provides an outstanding mountain experience for every guest through technical coaching, safe terrain guidance and guest service..

  • Creates an outstanding mountain experience for every guest.
  • Available to be scheduled for duration of the winter operating season.
  • Reports to line up on time and teaches class lessons, private lessons, or other MSS lesson products by customer request or as assigned by the meeting place supervisor.
  • Able to teach, coach and guide guests of all ages in specified discipline.
  • Participates in required MSS training and meetings.
  • Participates in on-snow training to become and remain current in the American Teaching System (or foreign equivalent) for skiing and snowboarding.
  • Complies with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) and MSS safety and operational procedures while conducting classes.
  • Promotes the MSS and creates positive customer relations.

Are you the right fit? Below are some traits an exemplary candidate possesses. 

  • Tangible ski skills
  • PSIA Level 2 or higher certification required.
  • Prior experience working in outdoor industry preferred. 
  • Prior guest service experience preferred.
  • Willing to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Willing to work with any age group.
