Merchandising Specialist - Wrangler Western
The Merchandising Specialist for Wrangler Western supports the development and execution of the Wrangler product offering, from development to production. This individual’s primary responsibilities will be to lead style set up for our product offering, supporting creation and/or collection of necessary materials, calendar aligned deliverables at each milestone meeting, special projects and sample line management/organization. There will be opportunity to partner with managers to develop a strong understanding of the consumer target’s needs, leveraging insights gained to identify current and future growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the development and execution of the Wrangler product offering to meet or exceed corporate financial requirements. Acts as the lead for style set up within the product offering.
- Maintains product sample lines, confirming receipt, ensuring meeting ready presentation, and coordinating product sample needs with our sales and marketing partners.
- Operational Management – Line sheet entry and maintenance, carry-over monitoring, change request submissions, digital library maintenance, supply chain support
- Effective cross-functional coordination and partnership with Design, PD and Tech
- Assists in creation and maintains visual product line plans, providing timely updates and key information to the cross functional partners to effectively reach milestone dates.
- Provides overviews and expectations of preliminary needs, actionable tasks, and deliverables of each GTM milestone to the Merchandising and cross functional teams.
- Creates tools that clearly communicate refined style concepts and key innovation narratives to share with brand marketing and design counterparts, coordinating photoshoots, consumer insight studies, and hindsight reviews.
- Schedule and coordinate sample line/shot list for creation of Brand sell in resources, digital assets, account requests, and commercial shoots.
- Pro-active communication of relevant assortment and product changes, by updating communication tools and project management resources to ensure accuracy and seamless implementation.
- Initiates development requests for ticketing needs, coordinating the tracking and completion throughout the process. Maintains digital library of final tickets, style numbers, hierarchy and technical information.
- Participate/capture takeaways in seasonal product line reviews as well as owning/presenting if requested and based on business needs.
- Learn consumer demographics to identify growth opportunities and assist in building seasonal product strategy. Partner with the Manager to refine and finalize seasonal strategy ahead of handoff to design teams.
Skills for Success:
- Knowledge of PC applications and administrative clerical functions. Knowledge and comfort using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
- Familiarity with fabric and clothing construction and basic functions of company operations, including manufacturing locations.
- Ability to multi-task and has strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to think logically, creatively, and critically show initiative and work independently.
- Ability to collaborate and work well with others
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize and has curious mindset to find new solutions.
- Ability to navigate and work in various KTB programs/systems.
Experience/Education:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 2 – 4 years
Educational/Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Prefer 2 year or 4-year degree in Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies, Business Management or Merchandising; or equivalent business experience
