POSITION DESCIRPTION:

Winter Park Resort is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Manager who is passionate about driving business growth through innovative, guest-centric marketing initiatives. The focus of this role is driving resort visitation, brand growth, and revenue in key areas such as lift tickets, passes, and lodging. This role requires a results-driven professional with a deep understanding of integrated marketing, promotional strategies, business analytics, media strategy, execution, and optimization. The ideal candidate will excel in creating and executing impactful marketing plans, managing advertising campaigns, and uncovering growth opportunities through data-driven insights. This role will oversee a team of direct reports and report directly to the Director of Marketing.

WAGE:

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resort’s salary range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resort’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Salary pay range: $67,000 – 90,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Integrated Marketing Plans

  • Build annual marketing plans to deliver on revenue targets and growth opportunities, with oversight from VP and Director of Marketing.
  • Oversee the building and maintenance of effective annual marketing calendars across multiple audiences.
  • Execute plans with impactful integrated marketing, advertising, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Advance a variety of key initiatives with strong strategic planning, project management, and collaboration skills.
  • Develop compelling promotions to achieve business goals.

Advertising and Paid Media

  • Provide strategic direction and develop briefs for media agency on marketing strategies and audiences to achieve Resort KPIs.
  • Ensure timely completion and trafficking of advertising and creative deliverables.
  • Understand the resort’s various audiences, priority level, what motivates their behavior, and which products and promotions will be most appealing to them.
  • Provide advertising and marketing campaign and promotion optimization recommendations and coordinate across necessary teams to implement them.
  • Thorough understanding of media analytics, to develop recommendations and plans based on insights and results.

Business Analytics and Growth

  • Perform resort analysis to maintain deep understanding of business drivers and brand health and identify growth opportunities
  • Partner with marketing team colleagues, cross functional teams, and agencies to uncover meaningful guest insights that inform growth plans.
  • Build robust and actionable seasonal plans and learning plans to enable innovative growth opportunities.
  • Analyze and report on marketing results to the marketing team and department VPs, Directors, and Managers. Provide recommendations to VP and Director for near term optimizations based on business results, creative performance or market dynamics, and implement once approved.

Budget Management

  • Build and maintain media and marketing budgets in collaboration with VP of Marketing and Director of
  • Prepare monthly budget reconciliation, with assistance from Marketing Specialist. Provide budget explanations and recommended adjustments to VP of Marketing and Director of Marketing.

Leadership

  • Effectively develop, coach, and lead direct reports to inspire and empower them to do their best work and thrive.
  • Influence and collaborate across functions to drive plans and achieve business results.
  • Act as a cultural leader fostering a strong sense of collaboration, belonging, effectiveness, and ownership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Substantial experience leading, coaching, and developing direct reports.
  • Have extensive knowledge of advertising and paid media strategy, execution, and optimization.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and build effective relationships across all departments.
  • Inquisitive and curious mindset with the ability to unearth the root of a business problem.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work within existing project management tools such as Basecamp and Airtable.
  • Results-oriented, analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights. Experience with Adobe Analytics is a plus.
  • Understanding of brand identity and how to maintain brand consistency across all channels.
  • Ability to consider multiple inputs to create a strategic integrated marketing plan and prioritize projects.
  • Must have attention to detail, be highly organized, and process-oriented.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and creatively solve problems.
  • Strong business acumen, sense of ownership, and accountability.
  • Proactive planning mindset, innovative and curious thinking, and passion about integrating marketing with driving the business forward.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years of experience in marketing or related field.
  • B2C experience is preferred. Experience in the hospitality, travel, or ski industry is a plus.
  • Passionate outdoor enthusiast with a love for the mountain lifestyle.
