About Outride: Outride is a public nonprofit organization that provides research, cycling programs, and funding to empower all people to experience the social, emotional, and cognitive benefits of cycling. Outride has a direct focus on expanding opportunities to access the benefits of cycling, partnering with programs that intentionally work to provide the social, emotional, and cognitive health benefits of cycling to underrepresented demographic groups.

Overview

The Marketing & Communications Program Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting Outride's mission: to provide research, cycling programs, and funding that empower all people to experience the social, emotional, and cognitive benefits of cycling. This role requires a strategic, organized, and collaborative executor who can balance critical thinking with achieving results.

In-person role – Boulder, CO (Denver metro area), Morgan Hill, CA or Salt Lake City, UT

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications (70%)

· Execute a comprehensive marketing, communications, and outreach strategy to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

· Implement storytelling initiatives that inspire action and increase awareness of Outride’s mission across diverse audiences.

· Serve as a central liaison, collaborating with media, external communications, and social influencers/ambassadors to drive brand visibility.

· Create compelling collateral such as impact reports, program one-pagers, and event signage, ensuring alignment with Outride’s goals and voice.

· Support relationships with PR and communications partners to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Partnerships & Industry Engagement (20%)

· Support partner relationships to increase Outride's impact.

· Support Outride at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise the organization’s visibility and expand its network.

· Recruit and energize ambassadors, volunteers, and other stakeholders to expand the capacity and reach of the Outride team.

Project Management (10%)

· Manage back-end logistics for partnerships, including Salesforce partnership data, email inbox management, newsletters, and scheduling of key meetings.

· Execute a communications calendar that aligns with Outride's strategic plan and organizational goals.

· Travel as necessary to support partnerships and activations.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.

· Demonstrated ability to execute strategic marketing and communications plans.

· Ability to cultivate and nurture authentic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and align them with overall organizational priorities.

· Familiarity with trends in youth cycling, cycling in aging populations, and cycling nonprofits is a plus.

· Familiarity with research communications and mental health and wellbeing a plus

· Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and goals clearly in verbal, written, and visual formats.

· Strong social media literacy on Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Youtube.

· Proficiency with Salesforce, Mailchimp, Canva, Squarespace, JIRA, and Confluence is advantageous.

· Self-starter with a high degree of proactivity, who is also collaborative and receptive to direction.

Pay

Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:

California Base Pay Range: $55,228-$91,126

Colorado Base Pay Range: $52,467-$83,532
