Summary:
The position of KEY Camp Classroom Aide assists in the implementation of KEY Camp and supports instructors and campers. Camp Classroom Aides must be available to work one day before camp begins and through the duration of camp.
Responsibilities:
The Camp Classroom Aide is responsible for providing general classroom support, assisting instructors with classes, preparation of materials, running campus errands, and classroom setup and cleanup. The Camp Classroom Aide encourages and supports students and monitors students during classes and transitions. The Camp Classroom Aide works with camp staff to provide a high-quality camp experience while implementing the camp’s safety policies and procedures and promoting an inclusive, positive environment. This position reports to the KEY Camp instructors and lead counselor.
Essential Duties:
Assist and support camp instructors.
Help to prepare materials, labs, and classroom activities.
Aid with classroom setup and cleanup.
Assist with the creation of camp portfolios.
Help maintain equipment and supplies.
Supervise campers during class and transitions, escorting students to assigned classrooms.
Remain visible and accessible to campers and instructors throughout the day.
Accompany campers to the nurse as needed.
Take and upload pictures of campers, classes, and activities for promotional materials. purposes and family keepsakes.
Work as part of a team and collaborate with instructors.
Review and adhere to a set daily schedule.
Model exemplary behavior, promote an inclusive environment, support and encourage students’ learning.
Participate in all camp training.
Comply with all applicable laws and college policies, including applicable local and state health orders.
Ensure the proper use of all facilities; follow and enforce all behavioral expectations.
Know and follow all safety policies and emergency procedures associated with the camp program.
Report staff and campers’ concerns to the instructor or lead counselor in a timely manner.
Immediately report incidents and accidents to the instructors, camp nurse, lead counselor, or campus security.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Skills:
16 years old or older
Ability to relate to and communicate well with children
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Exhibit a caring personality and patience
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize assigned work
Maintain a neat and professional appearance
Work as a team member and collaborate with staff
Work Environment:
Typical work environment is a classroom, lab setting, and/or outdoor areas.
Must be available to work one full day before camp begins and throughout the camp.
Physical Demands:
Employee must be able to move easily across a variety of indoor and outdoor terrain and be able to participate in a variety of activities and games, including outdoor games and sports.
Employee must be able to stand or sit for long periods, speak, hear, use hands and fingers to handle materials and use a computer, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.

$350 Stipend; lunch provided
Hours of work are 9am-11am and 1pm to 3pm Monday through Thursday
Dates of employment: June 8-June 20, 2025, with the exception of June 14
Remote Work Eligibility:
Unless otherwise noted, all positions provide vital support to Casper College and require the successful candidate be available to work on location at the Casper College campus.
