Job Description

Position Summary

The Inventory Accounting Manager will maintain and control the organization's General Ledger accounts and business transactions by following proper accounting procedures and controls and applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role will work with the Rental/Retail accounting team to oversee Aspen One’s inventory accounts and will manage department projects and software. This position reports to the Finance Manager.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $70,000- $90,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

This role is open to to employees based in Denver, CO or Basalt, CO.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities

Monitor and investigate inventory movements within Oracle Netsuite to ensure accurate inventory balances
Audit and analyze inventory counts, determining root cause of significant variances
Provide regular inventory control reporting to management that provides insights on inventory control process results
Review, reconcile, and resolve variances in various balance sheet accounts
Handle and record the company’s financial transactions
Review and analyze monthly financial reports
Support managers across the rental/retail teams with financial processes and procedures
Provide critical analysis and resolution of accounting discrepancies and errors
Provide and explain accounting information to managers and others within the company verbally and through written communication and email
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, accounting or business focus preferred
Seven years of previous accounting experience required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience with Oracle Enterprise (JD Edwards) and Oracle Netsuite a plus
Proficient mathematical and analytical skills
Proficient organizational and leadership abilities
Strong professional communication skills required, dealing with employees, co-workers, management, guests, and vendors
High degree of integrity, reliability, and confidentiality
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Proficiency in leading and managing organizational change
Ability to manage and lead diverse teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
High level of working knowledge of software applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Proficient Resort Technology Partners (RTP One) experience

Additional Information

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
No adverse or hazardous conditions
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
