Chef Position – The Metropolitan Downtown Cheyenne
Overview: We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various cooking techniques, a creative flair, and a commitment to high-quality food preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications.
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards and adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
- Monitor and control food costs to maximize profitability.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen management.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
