This is a remote, fly-in position located in Denali National Park. Due to this, all positions at DBL require assisting in other departments.

Safety, anticipating guest needs, honoring our surroundings and bringing your best every day are the core values we live by in order to provide dynamic guest service at the Denali Backcountry Lodge. As the Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for all food and beverage services at the lodge. You will plan and implement menus and budgets. You will oversee the hiring, training and supervision of all food and beverage staff. You will have a range of duties in order to assist team members including:

  • Assist upper level management in operations, with focus on Food & Beverage
  • Provide direction, training and development of Food & Beverage staff
  • Participate in menu design and set menu pricing with input from the Kitchen Manager and management
  • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and training for ServSafe (food safety) and TAPs (alcohol management) policies

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and high energy work environment
  • Inspiring leadership and motivational attitude
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Minimum of three years’ senior level experience in similar-sized operation
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality or a related field viewed advantageous
  • Must possess ServeSafe Food Protection Manager Certification
