What is the compensation for this role?






$16.00 per hour









What will you do in this job?






This is a remote, fly-in position located in Denali National Park. Due to this, all positions at DBL require assisting in other departments.

Safety, anticipating guest needs, honoring our surroundings, and bringing your best every day are the core values we live by in order to provide dynamic guest service provided in all Denali Backcountry Lodge. As Guest Service Agent, you will be a team member that wears many hats. This role largely assists with Food and Beverage services in the dining room, along with housekeeping of shared public areas, luggage handling, gift shop and general maintenance of the facilities. You will have a range of duties and responsibilities to include:

 

  • Greeting guests, serving, food running, bussing tables and some food prep
  • Assisting with housekeeping, laundry, luggage, dishwashing, cleaning guest areas
  • Participate in the provisioning of the lodge to include loading and unloading of supply drops, conducting inventories and properly and safely storing items
  • Handle guest comments and feedback with a high level of efficiency
  • Cover and maintain Gift Shop sales and retail merchandise space
  • Familiarize guests with local activities and lodge service
  • Work closely with all other departments to ensure overall guest satisfaction








What skills and experience do you need for this job?






 

  • Must obtain an Alaska Food Handlers card
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and preparations standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
