Communication & Digital Marketing Specialist

Role Overview

The Communication & Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing and optimizing communication strategies, media relations, digital marketing, and brand messaging in Portugal. This role will ensure that Specialized maintains a strong and engaging presence across digital platforms, media channels, and marketing communications.

Key Responsibilities

Communication & Media Relations

  • Serve as the primary media contact for Portugal, handling press relations, interviews, and brand exposure.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and media partners.
  • Track and analyze clipping reports to measure brand performance in the media.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and tone of voice across all channels.
  • Specialized.com & Digital Content contact for the portuguese market
  • Update product pages, blog posts, and landing pages to improve digital presence.

B2C & B2B Communication

  • Develop and implement B2C communication strategies, including email marketing campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Create and distribute B2B newsletters to engage and inform retail partners about product updates, marketing activations, and company news.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure effective communication with key stakeholders.

Social Media & Digital Marketing

  • Manage and oversee social media channels, ensuring continuous engagement with the Portuguese cycling community.
  • Plan and execute social media campaigns, working with influencers, brand ambassadors, and athletes to maximize reach.
  • Coordinate ads and design projects to enhance brand visibility across digital platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in communication, digital marketing, media relations, or social media management.
  • Strong knowledge of the cycling industry and passion for the sport.
  • Experience in content management, digital campaigns, and PR strategies.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and digital marketing analytics.
  • Native in Portuguese and Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.
