Position Summary

With a passion for consistently improving the quality of care and access to services for the underserved population in the Greater New Bedford area, the Chief Clinical Operations Officer provides strategic leadership for all Health Center’s nursing and clinical operations.  As a vital member of the New Bedford Community Health Center’s (the “Health Center”) executive leadership team, he/she/they collaborate with peers and staff to manage clinical operations for the organization. He/she/they are responsible for ensuring high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, efficient clinical workflows, competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

We offer a variety of services to the community, including primary & urgent care, women’s health, pediatrics, adult medicine, behavioral health, and dental care. Our patients develop strong bonds with our staff and rely on them for health care, as well as guidance with some basic needs that others may take for granted.

Qualifications

Who We Are Looking For:



  1. Proficient professional who possesses the ability to make complex decisions and administer policies and practices fairly and equitably.

  2. Encouraging and motivating leader with the abilities to communicate information to subordinates and peers is essential, as are strong listening skills.

  3. Must be able to deal with confidential information and matters appropriately and efficiently.

  4. Enthusiastic leader that demonstrates and supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values.


 


What You Will Need:



  • EducationBachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ direct nursing and clinical operations experience and nursing leadership experience is required. Prior experience working in a Massachusetts Federally Qualified Health Center is required.

  • Certification/Licensure:  Current Massachusetts nursing license is required.

  • Software/Hardware: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel and Outlook and Experience with Electronic Medical Records are required.
