This position falls under the classification Natural Resource Protection and Sustainability Manager 2 (NRPSM2).

What you will do:
With a shared leadership approach, you will lead and manage the Central Operations Resource Program, ensuring consistent statewide practices across sections including Ocean Shores Forestry, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources, Historic Resources, Facilities, Fleet, and Volunteer Services.

Minimum Qualifications:
Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience;
OR
Three years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree.
Special Requirements:
To be hired, you must have a criminal record and driving record check that meets OPRD Criteria at the time of hire, and throughout employment.
You must have a valid driver’s license at the time of hire and throughout employment.

Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining positive working relations with a wide variety of stakeholders in the region, including local, state and federal agency and elected representatives, and special interest groups.
Proficient in advocating and interpreting agency values related to natural, cultural, historic archaeological, scenic recreation resources and uses to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in working with peers to correlate statewide and region plans to achieve agency strategic goals.
Proven ability to maintain composure when dealing with general public and stakeholders in emotionally charged situations.
Demonstrated experience in providing project and team oversight within park properties that include natural resources, forestry, cultural resources, facilities maintenance, project management and ocean shores management.
Demonstrated experience administering a complex regulatory permitting program.
Adept in effectively managing, supporting, and leading change in an organization.
Experience in budget development, management and analysis.
Experience in facilitating meetings to build consensus and collaboration in an environment of competing priorities.

The salary listed is at the non-PERS rate. Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) eligible employees will have their base salary increased by 6.95% and pay the 6% employee contribution to PERS. If you are not yet PERS eligible, the 6.95% pay increase and employee contribution will be effective upon PERS eligibility.
