Natural Habitat Adventures (Nat Hab), a nature-focused global adventure travel company based in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking an Adventure Sales Associate to join our Sales team. This person is responsible for supporting the Adventure Specialists with various guest-facing tasks, organizational models, and collaborating on team projects.  




Responsibilities



  • Learning our trip destinations and individual itineraries in detail

  • Supporting the Adventure Specialists by handling specific types of calls and emails from prospective or booked travelers, often in rapid succession, throughout the day as assigned

  • Following up with guests as assigned

  • Creating prospect lists, follow-up email templates and outreach opportunities for the Adventure Specialist team

  • Corresponding and collaborating with partner companies: learning their sales systems, certain itineraries, and destinations. Utilizing resources efficiently to source information promptly and acting like a liaison between our partner companies and Adventure Specialists to facilitate a smooth booking process

  • Monitor and manage the email inbox for any Adventure Specialists out of the office

  • Providing support to the Adventure Specialist team with existing reservations and certain pre-trip questions, special requests, and additional services as needed

  • Assisting with the development and writing of custom itineraries and proposals, corresponding with partner companies, in the advancement of more challenging customized trips

  • Communicating closely with our marketing, concierge, air and operations teams to support the success of Adventure Specialist team while ensuring the delivery of high- end service

  • Working and being fully available 8 am–5 pm Monday–Friday (MT), in a very fast paced environment. Additional hours may be necessary to achieve your goals and complete your work

  • Assist with answering calls that elude our Front Desk and pass them efficiently to their intended recipient

  • Perform various administrative and clerical tasks as needed.




Skills and Qualifications



  • BA/BS degree is preferred

  • Previous international travel experience or experience working in the travel industry is highly desirable

  • Effectively communicate—both in writing and orally—with a professional demeanor

  • Adaptable and able to multitask

  • Able to embrace a fast-paced environment and learn quickly

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Strong skills in time management, handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines

  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment

  • Must be able to display exceptional professionalism

  • Willing and able to travel


 


Compensation


Compensation commensurate with experience.


Starting salary Range: $52,000 - $55,000 plus annual bonus.


 


This position comes with generous PTO and paid holidays. Benefits include site inspection on Nat Hab trips, pro deals on outdoor clothing, onsite fitness facility, and café. Eligibility for medical insurance, participation in 401(k) with company match and parental leave after a predetermined period. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.


 


Travel


If local, within one hour drive of the Louisville office, this position will be required to be in the office an average of no less than one day per week. If remote, this position will require you to travel to Colorado no less than two times a year for in-person meetings, company-wide events, & job-specific tasks.


 


Attendance at both of our annual companywide events, held in Spring (late April) and in Winter (early December) is mandatory for all employees. During these gatherings, employees are expected to work fully in the office and participate in the planned events.
