Job Description:

Job Duties: Under the direction of the Park Superintendent II, this position would aid in overseeing the general maintenance and cleaning of Mahoney State Park’s conference and event facilities, assist the park’s Group Functions Department with event coordination and set up, and help with oversight of the park’s security department. Other park responsibilities are required as needed. This is a great opportunity to learn all the different facets of what Mahoney State Park has to offer and grow in multiple areas of park management.

We are looking for a customer-focused, detail oriented individual to join us in creating memorable experiences for our guests at Mahoney State Park. You will learn alongside our seasoned park management team, gaining hands-on experience in personnel management, group event coordination, facility maintenance, customer service skills and much more!

This position would require flexibility with hours, including some later evening and overnight shifts when needed. Must be able to manage time independently and work well in varying areas of the park as required.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in park/recreation management or a related field; (wildlife, fisheries, natural resources sciences, public administration, history, cultural resource preservation or interpretation, travel and tourism, and planning) AND one year related experience. Related coursework/training and/or experience in park/recreation management or related field may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
