Cadence General, LLC is seeking a talented and experienced Skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. As a Skilled Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Carpentry Work: Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, installing trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other finish work according to project specifications.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of carpentry tasks and materials required.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools, ensuring precision and accuracy in all work.
  • Installation: Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, flooring, and trim, and ensure they are securely in place and meet quality standards.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Conduct maintenance and repair work as needed, including fixing broken or damaged structures and components.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect and assess the quality of carpentry work to ensure it meets the company's standards and project requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment, including the proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including project managers, supervisors, and other trades, to ensure successful project completion.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, using creative and effective solutions.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience in residential and commercial construction.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and materials.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality workmanship.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Occasional over-time

  • Wasilla, AK 99654: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
