POSITION SUMMARY:
OUTDOOR STORAGE: THIS POSITION IS PRIMARLY OUTDOORS: This employee must be outside from the start of their shift until the scheduled end of shift – 7-10 hours per day. This staff member should be a self-starter, as they will be required to float between indoor and outdoor storage depending on volume needs.
The outdoor storage attendant is responsible for providing excellent guest service to guests storing their multiday rental equipment in our outdoor storage locations. They will be expected to provide exceptional guest service and effectively handle high value ski and snowboard equipment with care. They will also be responsible for daily upkeep of the storage location, including snow removal, trash pick-up, pole organization and ski and snowboard rack/equipment organization. This position will also be able to perform all duties associated the rental associate position, such as: ski teching, boot, helmet and pole fitting, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, this person will need to interact with and provide information to all guests that are in proximity to the storage location and should have a strong general knowledge of Winter Park Resort or be willing to learn. This position may also receive cash tips depending on their performance when interacting with guests.
SKI VALET: The Lead Ski Valet Attendant is responsible for providing excellent guest service to guests storing their personal equipment with the Winter Park Resort Rentals department. They will be expected to provide exceptional guest service, effectively handle guests’ high value ski and snowboard equipment with care and operate a point of sale computer and cash drawer with integrity. They will also be responsible for day-to-day upkeep and cleaning of the ski valet location and other rental and tuning duties as assigned. This position may also receive cash tips depending on their performance when interacting with guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Outdoor Ski Storage
General Responsibilities
Maintain a friendly, congenial, and helpful attitude when interacting with resort guests.
Carefully handle and store rental skis and snowboards in an efficient and organized manner.
Inform and direct non-rental guests to paid storage options and interact with and assist all guests within the storage vicinity with directions or questions.
Handles guest problems and complaints professionally and resolves them in such a way to ensure our guests receive an excellent, quality filled resort and mountain experience.
Is responsible for maintaining standards of cleanliness and staff behavior in an outdoor self directed setting.
Is a team player and understands and exhibits cooperation.
Can perform all Rental Associate duties as assigned, including Teching Skis, and Fitting Boots, Poles and Helmets.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer functionality required
Valid Colorado Driver’s License and clean motor vehicle record desired.
Must be available to work overtime, weekends, holidays and respond to emergency schedule changes, as business requires.
Must able to speak and write English as a primary language.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required in dealing with guests, supervisors, fellow employees, managers, and other departments.
Must possess a friendly, outgoing personality being able to approach guests with a positive attitude, a smile, and help them in their in-store needs, wants, and desires.
Guest Service experience, in some way, is desired, but not necessary.
Have a background or basic knowledge of ski and snowboard equipment, rental flow, procedures, and liability compliance.
Ski Valet
General Responsibilities

Oversees the daily cash register operations and insures accurate end of the day procedures and accounting of revenue.
Is responsible for maintaining store standards of cleanliness and staff behavior
Operates, with efficiency, the computer point of sale system, (cash register).
Has excellent cash handling and credit card handling skills.
Is a team player and understands and exhibits cooperation.
Performs other rental, retail or tuning duties as needed.

WAGE:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
hourly pay range: $21-22/hr
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The outdoor storage attendant will be required to lift skis and snowboards vertically and horizontally for the duration of their shift. They will also be required to stand and/or move for a large portion of their shift. This position is located OUTDOORS. Winter Park will provide an outdoor uniform.
