Specialized Service Course Technician and Fleet Manager

Are you a seasoned bike mechanic with a keen eye for detail that would stand up to the highest level of scrutiny? We are searching for a friendly, enthusiastic technician and fleet manager to be part of a team that serves dynamic needs; from managing a fleet of demo bikes, employee repairs, marketing builds, teaching mechanic skill, to whatever the company asks of us we get it done. HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
As a member of the Specialized Service Course, you will be responsible for managing a fleet of demo bikes, employee repairs and builds, teaching mechanic skills to fellow Specialized employees, and occasional marketing requests.
You will have the opportunity to interact with many other groups within Specialized, including: Quality, Retail and Rider Care, Product Management, Marketing, Sales and Specialized University.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
First and foremost, the ability to work as a member of a team
High level of mechanical ability
3-5 years’ experience servicing bicycles in a professional shop environment.
Experience with Bike Rental Manager huge plus
Certifications from S-Tec, STU, Fox, UBI, etc. a plus
Significant customer service experience, preferably in bicycle shops, or other service shop environment.
You should have an in-depth understanding of bicycle suspension and wheel products
Organization and follow through are a must as is the ability to balance a fast tempo with incredible results.
Proficiency with computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel. Oracle and JIRA experience helpful.
Professional, technical, and personable communication skills both written and verbal are critical in working with media partners
The location for this position is at our Morgan Hill, California office.
PAY
Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations:
California (SF Bay Area) Base Pay Range: $23-31 per hour.
At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location.
