Job Description:

DESCRIPTION:

Platte River State Park is currently seeking a welcoming and customer-focused Office Technician. In this role, you'll share park information and elevate guest experiences through sales and administrative support. Join our team to help create a welcoming landscape for visitors to enjoy. Nebraska’s amazing wildlife, natural beauty, and outdoor recreation is waiting for you!

JOB DUTIES:
• Assist with customer service by providing park information and related services to visitors, answering phones, assist with making cabin and campground reservations and checking park guests in/out of lodging.
• Issue required permits (park entry, hunting, fishing, etc.) and maintain inventory.
• Assist in reconciling daily reconciliation documents, restaurant tip reports, POS setup and training, and accounts payable.
• Audit and submit temporary payroll and process hiring papers for seasonal staff.
• Responsible for wedding and group functions to include set-up and tear-down when needed.
• Other park duties as needed.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.

Other: Driver's license is required.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Nebraska geography, natural resources, parks and outdoor activities.
  • Basic understanding of business practices relating to accounting and inventory control.
  • Basic knowledge of word and excel.
  • Ability to operate computers, copiers, calculators, fax machines, POS system and credit card machines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others in both formal and informal situations.
  • Operate computer and cash register.
