DESCRIPTION:

Louisville State Recreation Area is currently seeking a welcoming and customer-focused Office Specialist. In this role, you'll share park information, efficiently manage campground reservations, and elevate guest experiences through sales and administrative support. We're searching for an ideal candidate with excellent communication skills, a passion for exceptional customer service, multitasking abilities, and a friendly demeanor. JOB DUTIES:
• Provide front line customer service in person, over the phone, and in writing to convey rules & regulations, and amenities to park guests.
• Perform office duties at park office and oversee work of clerical support staff to ensure completion of tasks.
• Schedule and confirm reservations for campgrounds and update and maintain reservation system records.
• Sell park entry permits and resale items.
• Assist with training staff on the reservation system, office practices, customer service and park policies.
• Perform related work as assigned or required.

Qualifications/ Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.

Other: Driver's license is required.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public to exchange information and establish working relationships.
  • File, maintain, and retrieve records using established computer systems, handle multiple tasks, and operate computer, reservation, and POS systems.
  • Train staff in park office policies and procedures.
  • Ability to be flexible with hours and work weekends and holidays.
