Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Nebraska Game and Parks is looking for a detail oriented and organized person to join our engineering team. In this key role, you will provide administrative support ensuring smooth office operations and the efficient flow of projects.

JOB DUTIES:
• Prepare and process invoices for the division.
• Oversee division payroll.
• Assist with putting construction projects out to bid.
• Organize and track documentation such as contracts, bidding documents, and project expenditures.
• Maintain division inventory.
• Responsible for running various financial report and inquiries.
• Provide office support and handle general office duties including filing, data entry, and responding to emails/calls.
• Perform related work as needed.

Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of general accounting practices.
• Required to work on multiple projects simultaneously, communicate effectively, and work with a wide variety of individuals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially formulas in Excel.
• Ability to summarize technical data and results of research into clear reports.
• Capability to complete work assignments that require very close attention to detail and accuracy that must meet deadlines.
• Must be a highly organized and motivated problem solver.
• A general knowledge of construction terminology and practices is a plus.
