Job Description

Summary

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for inventory accuracy across our stores and warehouses as well as rental product quality at these locations. This in-person role is responsible for managing all inventory control processes including cycle counting, physical count, inventory past due, and the accuracy of inventory movement within our inventory management system. Analysis of metrics and results of each process, as well as making recommendations to improve procedures, systems, and training to increase inventory accuracy is a key part of this position.

The budgeted salary range for this position is $65,000- 91,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions

Monitor and investigate rental and retail inventory movements to ensure system accuracy
Manage, audit and analyze cycle counts and physical counts, determining root cause of significant variances
Create and implement corrective action measures for any significant inventory variances through close in person collaboration with store operations and warehouse operations
Identify retail/rental store shrinkage occurrences and root cause issues utilizing available tools (surveillance, system records, etc.)
Work closely with Accounting to properly adjust inventory levels within systems to ensure the organization has accurate inventory information
Provide regular inventory control reporting to management that provides insights on inventory control process results
Oversee damaged equipment processes for retail and rental product, including assisting in repair and disposal as needed
Assist in training store operations and warehouse operations on cycle count and physical count procedures and communication on best practices
Build and track KPI’s for key operational processes that will be monitored on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis based on departmental goals
Identify operational process areas that need efficiency and optimization and work with the respective team on implementation
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred
Requires 5-7 years of store and warehouse operations experience preferred
Ability to analyze large datasets and determine actionable results
Ability to maintain strong working relationship with store operations and warehouse operations
Previous management experience desired
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, SQL experience a plus
NetSuite and/or RTP experience is a plus
APICS certification a plus

Additional Information

Supervision Given and Received

Supervision Given: Exercises direct supervision over the Inventory Control Analyst. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Supervision Received: Works under direct supervision of the Finance Manager. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently. Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements
No adverse or hazardous conditions
Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
