Job Description
Position: Health Technology Instructor, Full-time, Benefitted, Tenure-track, Faculty categorized, FLSA Exempt, located on the Douglas Campus, Evening Classes, 9-month annual renewing contract Salary Hire Amount: - $55,000- $65,000 annually for each 9-month contract period -Actual amount depends on Education and Experience Job Summary: The Health Technology Instructor is a full-time, benefitted, tenure-track, faculty categorized position located at the Douglas Campus. The Health Technology Instructor must use multiple learning methods in the classroom to maximize student learning. The primary duty is to prepare and deliver in-class, hybrid, and/or on-line instruction to students. Strong personal leadership, organization, instruction and communication skills are needed to meet program requirements and enable student success. Full-time faculty members are contracted to teach the equivalent of 30 credit hours per academic year (Fall and Spring terms). Full-time faculty are expected to be on campus a minimum of thirty (30 hours per week including five (5) posted office hours per week. This position requires travel. This listing of essential duties is not all-inclusive, but representative, other duties may be assigned). · Instruct assigned day, evening, and/or distance classes according to degree/program curricula · Facilitate a student-centered positive and productive learning environment · Coordinate, prepare, revise, and deliver curricula, syllabi’s, and lesson plans in classroom, hybrid, and/ or on-line settings per degree/program outline · Coordinate and set up class dates and times including the outreach sites · Utilize the Learning Management System (Canvas) to deliver course information to students · Advise and mentor pre-nursing students through their plan of study · Maintain current and accurate records of assigned courses and students; submit grades · Assess student learning outcomes and use the results to improve curricula · Create new courses to meet programmatic needs; assist in meeting accreditation requirements · Aid and participate in student recruitment and retention · Maintain and post regular office hours; be accessible to students outside normal class time · Remain current in discipline and area of assignment · Serve on standing and ad-hoc committees as assigned · Participate in College training and operational events · Attend and participate in graduation ceremonies · Perform all other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned · Maintain the Testing Site and oversee all CNA testing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ( KSA ): These are the requirements for an employee who is capable of performing the full range of essential functions of the position. · Extensive knowledge, comprehension, and applicability of the nursing discipline including the rules and regulations of the Wyoming State Board of Nursing and Federal Government rules that apply to the Certified Nursing Assistant Program. · Skill and ability to effectively use technology and teaching aids in the classroom · Tactful and effective oral and written communications and interpersonal skills · Skill and ability to deliver course material in lectures and to use office and classroom computers · Knowledge and ability to commit to the College mission, vision, and philosophy · Ability to work effectively with students and co-workers · Skill and ability to use multiple learning methods to facilitate student learning and success · Effective operation of college computer workstation, network systems, and software/ programs

Required Qualifications
· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing · Current Active Nursing License · Current and valid state-issued Driver License · Two (2) years as a Registered Nurse including one (1) full year working in a Long Term Care Facility (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 42, Part 483.152, Subpart D 483.150-160) · Instructors must have completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults or supervising nurse aides · Background in Nursing
