The Instructor Level II position is an advanced level in which incumbents must possess a Level II PSIA/AASI Certification or foreign equivalency. At this level, incumbents can teach more technical classes on the upper mountain.
All levels of instructors will be expected to maintain accurate class records to include student skill level, program or lesson taught and notes on student’s development and learning progress. They will be expected to fill out accurate incident/accident reports when they occur in a timely manner. Must fill out timesheets to correctly reflect number of students, time, and class. All Instructors will be required to participate in department cross over training for mountain safety.
Special Requirements: Demonstrated proficiency as an advanced/expert skier or snowboarder regardless of conditions.
Employment is contingent upon passing an Eaglecrest ski instructor evaluation.
Candidate must be able to work outside in severe weather conditions.
License/Certification: PSIA/AASI Level II or comparable certification at time of appointment and for continued employment.
