WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for enthusiastic outdoor guest service-oriented people who are willing to work in an outdoor environment all day. You should enjoy being around other skiers and snowboarders creating a friendly upbeat atmosphere at the ski lift station. Ski or Snowboard Experience is a bonus. A valid driver’s license at the time of employment is required for appointment and continued employment.

The Lift Operations Team is a fun group that has an opportunity to experience many different parts of the mountain. Those that have ski and snowboard experience will to able to ski or snowboard in between lift stations throughout the day. You will receive discounts in the cafeteria, retail shop, rental shop and on ski lessons.

WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
You will be working in various locations around the Eaglecrest Ski Area at 3000 Fish Creek Road, Wednesday through Sunday 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Weekends and holidays are mandatory, and you must be available for on-call assignment or alternate work scheduling. Overtime pay will be possible during holiday weeks.

Typical Responsibilities

The Lift Supervisor is responsible for the safe operation of all Eaglecrest ski lifts. The Lift Supervisor may assist the Mountain Maintenance Mechanic with minor lift maintenance and record keeping. During the winter ski season, the Lift Supervisor will oversee daily supervision of lift operations crew. This will include training staff in operations and guest services, as well as hiring, scheduling and approving timecards. The daily opening and closing of the lifts in a safe and timely manner is the chief responsibility of the Lift Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:      None

Experience:    Two (2) Seasons of lead or supervisory experience in a Ski Industry position.
(One season is equivalent to two (2) months of full-time experience or four (4) months of part-time experience)

OR
1 year of lead or supervisory experience in any industry.
Lead/Supervisory experience should include a combination of: appointing/disciplining employees, scheduling and evaluating, training, and directing day to day work assignments.

OR
2 years of experience in construction and repair of buildings, structures, components, or maintenance and repair of aerial ski lifts

AND
Willingness to be trained/mentored to supervise.
Lead/Supervisory experience should include a combination of appointing/disciplining employees, scheduling and evaluating, training, and directing day to day work assignments.

Other:      Valid driver’s license at time of appointment and for continued employment.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions while being on their feet for a continuous period and be physically able to shovel snow for extended periods of time.
