SUMMARY

Paragon Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Camp Chef for the Umiat Landfill Remediation Project in Umiat Alaska . This remote position is open to all Nome and Anchorage applicants. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

• Development of menu for a 30 day field operation in the remote location of Umiat Alaska for 22 person crew
• Order and procure food supply
• Prepare and cook meals for crew

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

• Current Alaska Food Handler Certification

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Ability to work well with others in a camp environment
• Strong communication skills
• Forward thinking with ability to prepare restock orders while operating a camp kitchen facility

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

The job is performed in a commercial kitchen and camp setting with exposure to kitchen equipment.
