Job Description:

Work where you play and join the Nebraska Game and Parks Communications Division! Communications is seeking a well-organized administrative technician. In this role, you will provide administrative support to division staff and provide public and customer service.


Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.


JOB DUTIES:
· Process division payroll, including billing code auditing and federal grant usage.
· Prepare Nebraskaland Magazine & Guide Book Advertising invoices, track payments and maintain billing spreadsheet.
· Process staff expense reimbursement documents, purchasing cards statements, and vehicle logs.
· Process invoice logs for division and accounts payable, including federal grant coding.
· Process vendor W-9 Forms for accounts payable.
· Maintain division inventory records including surplus paperwork and transfers of equipment.
· Create Travel Authorization Forms and schedule & plan travel needs for division administration.
· Assist the division administrative secretary with clerical duties, office supply ordering & inventory.
· Provide customer service such as answering telephone calls or serve as backup to agency multi-line switchboard operator on a rotating schedule.
· Assist with Youth Lifetime Permit Program coordination as needed.
· Assist with preparing for special projects, mailings or special events as needed.
· Other duties as assigned, which may include attending or helping with occasional agency outreach events.
