Purpose:
The Education in the Unorganized Territories Central Office is looking for someone to bring organization and precision to our accounting and administrative processes. This role is the first step in smooth financial operations, ensuring accurate invoice processing, seamless accounts payable management, and effective error detection.. Beyond the numbers, this position keeps teams connected and informed by coordinating training materials, maintaining vital information, and resolving vendor issues with professionalism. It's all about supporting efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across the board.
The position is responsible for accounting and support services reviewing and auditing accounting documents, identifying errors and taking action to resolve, coding, and entering accounts payables documents for payment; gathering workshop/training materials and distributing, compiling, organizing, maintaining, and distributing information for office and field staff, and correspond with vendors to resolve account issues.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Preference will be given to candidates with State of Maine accounting experience, and use of State accounting software programs, Advantage, Analytics and MainePays.
